Thank you for choosing the worst possible time to talk to me. Now go away and let me eat.

What someone else chooses to eat is none of your damn business. We all have different tastes, we all have different goals, and we all have different morals.

If I’m eating meat, don’t talk to me about how awful meat is and why I should be a vegan.

If I’m eating a candy bar, don’t talk to me about how sugar is the worst thing I can put into my body.

If I’m eating a damn sandwich, don’t talk to me about how I need to cut bread out of my diet completely.

You’re keto? Awesome. You’re vegan? Good for you. Sugar-free? Swell. I’m not.

There aren’t any rules to nutrition. You don’t need to tell anyone else what they should or shouldn’t eat. If someone wants advice, they’ll ask. But if I’m over here enjoying a pop tart, I don’t need to hear about the dangers of refined sugar. I just want to enjoy my pop tart.

This is one of my hot buttons. I love to help educate people on basic nutrition and try to break down how to make overall healthy decisions. You can follow me to learn about these various topics, or not. That’s your choice. But I’m not going to walk down the street and tell you what you should or shouldn’t eat (or do it in the comments section of posts, as so many nutritional extremists like to do)

Live your life, eat your food, and screw everyone else who tries to tell you otherwise.
